That’s my iphone ringing every 5 minutes letting me know of new RSVP replies! Yes, I get emails everytime you RSVP and I am happy everytime I get them! Keep them coming because we sure like to have an accurate head count of who’s coming to our wedding! Look forward to seeing everyone who can make it and will miss everyone who can’t!!!

It’s so exciting! We went and picked up our keys today and bought a whole bunch of household items at BJs. I never spent so much money on household items in my life! When we checked out, it was $202! It has been such a wonderful journey and definitely God’s blessing getting this place. When we started looking, it was somewhat stressful looking at all the different places. It wasn’t that it wasn’t cool looking at different apartments, but it was just tiring going all over Brooklyn and calling different people left and right. I believe God really provided when we got this place. This place wasn’t even listed on the market when we went to look at it. The broker was actually showing us another place that we really did not like (the bumpy walls made Jessica cringe!). When we saw this place, we both loved it!! …but we thought to ourselves, it is a bit pricey (1390) and we were looking for a 2 bedroom apartment so we wouldn’t have to move so fast. What really got us to decide on this place was when we looked into a HUGE (think 2 king size bedrooms) place with a separate shower and a bathtub for 1800 and realized we are a little couple right now and that we don’t need a big place. What a waste it would be to get so much space! We wouldn’t be good stewards of what God gave to us. After looking at that place, we knew the 1 bedroom place here would be good for us… but someone else had already filled out an application for the apartment! We trusted by faith that if God wants to give it to us, we wouldn’t have to worry…. the next day, we heard that the management had accepted our application over the other guys! Also, the rent turned out to be 1350 instead of 1390! Praise God how he supplies! It just is so exciting to be here! Even if it is just cleaning supplies, me and Jessica…. we are both so excited that this will be our new home! Look forward to having people over soon!!! =)

We’re 98% there… Jessica was over until almost 12AM putting the finishing touches on our website and ordering the RSVP response cards (Thanks mom and dad for letting her stay so late! :-/). We’re going to be using our website here for receiving the RSVPs. When we started planning for invitations, I didn’t know it was going to be so complicated!! This project has been almost a year in the making if you count when we started designing this website… Some bumps in the road has been having enough time to work on these things and finding invitations within our budget and something that looked nice. I think we’re almost done though! Praise God that he worked everything out and that we are so far within budget. We should be sending out the English invites out by next week and the Chinese invites will come soon after! =)

Ok, so we know you all waited long enough to see these. We’ve been so busy, but we will not make you wait any longer! Here are some of our photos taken by our good friend Audrey.

Thank you Audrey for the wonderful photos!!! =D

As I mentioned in my last post, here is the color theme for our wedding. The palette is called “Opalescent”, which I found on marthastewartweddings.com. I was having such a hard time finding our theme color because I just love so many colors! @__@ Anyhoo, I put together a color/inspiration for you lovely people to see (This is for color and inspiration ONLY, so do not expect the see these exact things at the wedding! =P)

Ain’t the colors perdy? =D The bridesmaids can also choose their dresses from an array of colors rather than just be stuck with 1 color (they are quite happy about that ;) )

So now people won’t have to be like, “???” when I say that our theme color is Opalescent…it just sounds so cheesy anyway =P This explains it so much clearer and prettier =) I’m thinking of even adding a pop of  brown in there just to spice things up and tie it all in with the Fall season…whatcha guys think?

Hi hi there! =D

Boy, this has been such a roller coaster ride (duncha just LOOOVE roller coasters? =P) All this planning is pretty exciting, but it also uses some brain juice. So far…

Color Theme – Check! (I will post up an inspiration board later =) )
Banquet – Check!
Church – Check!

Our next stop is…drum roll please….brrrrrrrruuummm ka-ching (my poor attempt to do a drum roll =/) The wedding gown! This coming Saturday, I will be  taking my first trip to David’s Bridal with my best bud and maid of honor Peony! It seems I made the appointment at a perfect time because the David’s Bridal $99 gown sale is happening that week! It is definitely God planned. How? Well, a few weeks ago, I was just browsing around the DB site and there was a contest to win the gown of my choice (no, I didn’t win =/). I signed up for it not knowing that by signing up for it, I will be getting a call from a DB rep for me to make an appointment at there! Yikes! I wasn’t even thinking about going dress shopping yet! I figured I guess it’s good to start somewhere. So I got the call and I just randomly picked an appointment date. I had no idea that the $99 gown sale was that week until today! Imagine that…a pretty gown for under $100? BOOYAH! Praise the Lord! =D I will keep you guys posted on the dress hunt. Hopefully I will find the dress on my first try =P

In the meantime, I’m looking for a dress that I can add some nice straps to and that isn’t as poofy. However, I found these to be very pretty…

I’m loving the bow on the dress to the right =P
